Creating Your Account

DevFlow uses an email-first registration process. No passwords needed — authentication works through magic links and passkeys.

Step 1: Enter Your Email

On the registration page, enter your email address. DevFlow will send you a verification email with a magic link.

Step 2: Verify Your Email

Open the email and click the verification link. This confirms your email address and logs you in automatically.

Step 3: Complete Your Profile

After verification, you will be guided through a setup wizard:

1. Display name — How you appear to other users
2. Avatar — Upload a profile picture (optional)
3. Passkey setup — Register a passkey for future logins (recommended)

Subsequent Logins

You have two options to log in:

• Magic Link — Enter your email, receive a login link, click it
• Passkey — Use your device’s biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello)

Passkeys are faster and more secure. We recommend setting one up during registration.

Accepting an Invitation

If someone invites you to an organization:

1. You receive an invitation email with a link
2. Click the link to open DevFlow
3. If you already have an account, the invitation is linked automatically
4. If you are new, you go through the registration process first, then the invitation is applied

Account Settings

After registration, you can manage your account in Settings:

• Change your display name and avatar
• Manage your passkeys (add or remove devices)
• Configure your personal time tracking preferences
• Set your default Takt (time rounding interval)
